ACTING PRESIDENT OSINBAJO RELEASES 1.8BN LOAN FOR WOMEN AS THEY MARKS WOMENS DAY


The Nigerian women was yesterday well celebrated as the Acting President of Nigeria Vice President Yemi Osinbajo ordered the release of 1.8BN loan grants for women. This he called the "National Women Empowering Funds"

He said one of the priority of this current administration is to protect women of all sorts of gender base, especially those living in remote places where security is not yet maximum. widows are also to
benefit from this empowerment program, women with one form of disability or the other are part of the program


Despite the economic breakdown the acting President has assured the Nigerian women that Presidency have them fully in mind.

He said the contributions of women towards this ongoing administration is enormous and at such they can not be over look.

In his own word "Osinbajo said the government acknowledged and valued the contributions women were making to national development, affirming that
“They do this daily working within and outside the home as well as in public life. Indeed they sometimes are the sole providers for their families.
“This administration also established, as part of its Social Investment Programme, the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) which provides interest-free soft loans to artisans and traders"
